Product Overview
The PTA and PTD slurry valves are a push through design which discharges a minimum amount of process media when cycling between open and closed. In the open position the sleeves seal against each other providing the pressure barrier. During operation the gate separates the sleeves as it transitions from open to closed, which leads to a momentary discharge. This small amount of discharge exits through the bottom of the valve and can be safely directed away with use of a splash guard mounted to the bottom of the valve.

33 PTD Light to Medium Duty Slurry Valve • UHMW gate support liners guide the gate through the entire stroke, greatly reducing wear on the sleeves and gates • Thick gate minimizes gate deflection • No cavities in the valve for media to build up • Engineered Seats o Metallic internal support ring o Integral load distribution ring o Can be installed with or without flange gaskets. o Proprietary elastomeric compound to maximize seat life • Lubrication not required • Sleeves are replaceable without disassembling the valve • Full ported valve eliminates turbulence and has no metal parts in contact with flowing slurry • 100% factory tested for 100% bi-directional bubble tight shut-off • Stem cover available • Open and closed lockout / tagout positions • Gate wiper included as standard
